Psalm 9:1, King James Version
9 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
1 Corinthians 15:57, King James Version
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The other night as I was getting ready to walk the dog I was thanking God for all the breakthrough that had started happening during the past week, and for the rest of it that I know is coming. I had the Holy Spirit tell me that instead of listening to preaching or testimonies when walking I ought to put on music and keep thanking Him. So, I put some Gaither on utube and did just that…..
Now here it is two nights later, and after work today I had a good video about an ex-warlock sharing what types of prayers disarm the enemy best. That’s just exactly the type of thing I like to listen to, so I put it on. And smack in the middle of his list was ‘prayers of praise and thanksgiving’!
Yea, I’ve no doubt that because I was having one of those days where the Joy Of The Lord was present due to another answered prayer and signs that God is working on someone I’ve been praying for, the enemy was most likely trying to counter that with an attack at that moment. He must be sick of trying the dream thing and getting nowhere, I guess. Haha. Foiled again! (I walk during the witchy hours, for a few different reasons, so it makes sense that the demons may be being conjured up at that time).
I had been saying thank you to Him off and on all day and singing hymns to myself while at work. There was a reason I was told to continue it, and then led to that video. It’s not the first time God has led me to a video teaching to confirm something and also educate me about it, and I’m sure it won’t be the last.
