Not Today, Satan!

A few days ago I was jogging with my dog in the early hours of the morning before work. Going along like normal and all of a sudden a dialogue, much like the one I mentioned in a post last week, started playing in my head out of nowhere.

There’s three coyotes that live around my house. Two that seem to be a pair, and one lone that always hangs out either by itself or trails a little behind the pair. Lately I see that one more by itself than with the pair though. Anyway, it was pointed out to me that it’s probably a boy and that’s why it likes to come and watch my dog, who is a girl. Makes sense. It has more than once walked parallel to us, like we are on a street and he will run behind the houses and stalk us, every once in awhile letting out one of those yip noises those wild dogs make. Trying to catch my dog’s attention. Which he does, but I don’t let her run for him like she tries to do. I have named him Wolfie and always tease my dog about her ‘boy doggie’. It’s hilarious……….as long as he doesn’t attack.

Well I don’t know if he was planning to attack, or if it was Satan trying to instill fear in me, as he’s tried everything he can to try and make me stop running just when I finally listen to the Holy Spirit’s nudge to start. But anyway, nothing bad happened. Now, it could have been a possible attack was going to happen and this stopped it in the spirit realm before it could manifest. But yeh, it also could have been the spirit of fear being unleashed upon myself. Either way, I’m still here to write this and my dog is right beside me, so we are just fine!

But anyhow, for what happened in my head……….

I saw Wolfie coming along, we were headed towards him. He wasn’t really going fast or looking mean like I would imagine one of those wild dogs would do when he was going to attack, but he was headed straight at us. When he got a few feet from us though he put his ears back and snarled a bit. I had my pink purse Bible with me for some reason, and ran at him with it, saying something like “In the name of Jesus, you must stand down”! I don’t know, I don’t remember my exact verbage. But the intent was for him to have to stop because Jesus is more powerful than he, or should I say than the Satanic agenda working through him causing him to attack when normally it’s ok for us to go on by.

There were maybe two houses left at the end of this street now before we turned onto the next one to circle back towards our own house. And what do you know, my dog started pulling at her leash like a psycho-monster……….becwuse THERE WAS WOLFIE! Yup, he was right there! Just watching us. And the minute my dog started baekinga t him and pulling at her rope he started lifting up his front paws like a rearing horse will do when it just goes a little ways up. But it didn’t look mean. So weird. It looked like he was playful and was questioning if she could play, like two kids. Weird!

Whether an attack was imminent or whether it was Satan trying to scare me and Jesus reminding me that I got something more powerful and not to worry because all was fine, I’ll never know. But the powerful intuition the Holy Spirit gives us that will let us know what lies ahead will never cease to amaze and shock……….
