Uh, Nope!

Acts 1:8, King James Version

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Romans 1:16, King James Version

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

So the two newest annoying scenarios, which are by far not the half of what I deal with regularly, are enough that I believe it’s way past time for me to make this rant here…..

JUST BECAUSE ONE, I GIVE YOU A BIBLE, AND TWO, YOU ARE A MALE, DOES NOT MEAN I WANT TO FUCK YOU, DATE YOU, MARRY YOU, OR EVEN BE YOUR “FRIEND WITH BENEFITS”! (I DON’T DO THAT LAST ONE AT ALL ANYWAY, BUT JUST TO CLARIFY I FIGURED TO ADD IT!).

Let’s take a look at the short version of how I became someone who distributes Bibles to anyone, anywhere, at any time…..

Being out at all hours of the night for a job I was on a few years ago, I realized the amount of homeless people around. I wanted to give them something that could help solve all of their problems, but tons of blankets and food don’t fit in my vehicle. Money and a Bible make more sense. So after the Holy Spirit gave me the idea of Bibles, I searched Amazon and found they have these great ones to hand out to strangers called ‘gift and award Bibles’. That coupled with a gift card, some good quality (not cheap shit!) chocolate, and/or cash, is perfect, and can save a soul as well as help the person out for the moment. So I typed up a paper to give out with them (which I will post below) and began to always keep them with me. Soon I wasn’t out at the same hours, and also a law was made for the homeless not to sleep outside anymore. So, needless to say, I didn’t run into near as many of them…..

To make a long story short, I started leaving them around everywhere for people to find. At gas pumps when I gas up my truck, at restaurants with the tip, in shopping carts, on park benches, etc…..

Obviously, by this time I was really into it. So of course I started talking about it with friends and aquaintances. Some of these people either asked for one when I said I hand them out, or the Holy Spirit let me know I should give them one. For these people I actually knew, I wanted to have really nice ones, as I knew they’d be taken care of. So I started keeping nicer ones, and more than one version, with me as well. I also keep some in Spanish.

Now, present day…..it’s been a couple of years. Everywhere I go there seems to be a chance to give them out. And I am very pleased to do so. But, yeah, refer to the paragraph written in caps lock again, please!
